The fees for our cosmetic and skincare trials and assessment services depend on several variables:
1/ the numbers of products / product testers;
2/ the number of product questionnaires you’d like to set for our testers;
3/ the type / number of questions on the questionnaires.
The figures below — with some working examples — will give you an idea of how our pricing structure works.
Please note: The Beauty Testers do NOT charge VAT.
First, how many testers would you like to test your products?
Usually, we charge £25 per tester, per product.
Second, how many questionnaires do you need?
Questionnaire set-up for one product is £100, and £50 for each additional unique questionnaire.
Third, which type of questions would you like for your questionnaires — and how many?
Multiple-choice or yes/no questions are priced at £1 each, per questionnaire.
Open-ended questions are charged at £1 each, per tester, per product.
Other variables
We may have to apply additional charges in certain circumstances, for example, for heavy products which command greater postage fees, for commissions with longer testing periods (3 months +), or for more complex tester requirements (e.g. certain skin conditions).
We may be able to reduce charges in certain circumstances, for example, in the case of comparison tests between two similar products, or with very light-weight products (e.g. lip balms).
Examples
6 testers testing 1 product (£150).
One questionnaire (£100) with eight yes/no questions (£8) and ten open-ended questions (£60).
Total fee: £318
10 testers testing 2 products (£500).
Two questionnaires (£150), with ten yes/no questions on each (£20) and four open-ended questions on each (£80).
Total fee: £750
20 testers testing 3 products (£1,500).
One questionnaire, identical for each of the three products (£100), with six open-ended questions only (£360).
Total fee: £1,960.
Other options
If you have an unusual or complex request, not covered by the examples above, perhaps with multiple additional variables, please do ask for a quote, as we should be able to make specific arrangements for most needs.
The same applies if you have a straightforward request, with minimal requirements, as we can reduce our fees in these circumstances — for instance, if you would like a straightforward ‘comparison’ test between two products, and wish only to find out which of the two is preferred by testers.
